Create and use LUTs for consistent brand colour

Understand what a LUT can do, what it cannot do and how to build a portable .cube look.

A LUT maps input colours to output colours. Used carefully, it creates a repeatable finishing look across Dreamlab, Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.

Correct before you stylise

Balance exposure and white balance on the source footage first. A creative LUT cannot recover clipped highlights, missing shadow detail or inconsistent lighting.

Build a restrained signature

Adjust contrast, saturation, temperature, tint and channel balance while checking skin tones and neutral objects. A brand look should survive more than one perfect test image.

Export a portable .cube file

Dreamlab’s LUT builder outputs a standard 3D .cube file. Apply it consistently, then fine-tune individual shots underneath or before the creative look in your grading application.
