How to create a branded motion video without starting in After Effects

A practical workflow for turning a brief, brand kit and media into an editable social video and finished MP4.

A strong motion asset is not just a generated video. It is a sequence you can revise: scenes, copy, media, timing, colour, audio and transitions remain editable until export.

Start with the communication job

Write the audience, offer, single message and desired action before choosing animation. Dreamlab’s AI creative director uses this context to propose a storyboard rather than decorating an empty timeline.

  1. Name the audience and their current problem.
  2. State one offer or idea.
  3. Choose the action viewers should take.
  4. Select 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 before designing.

Build in scenes, not one flattened clip

Each Dreamlab scene contains independent text, image, video, audio and graphic layers. This keeps headlines, lower thirds, brand marks and footage selectable. You can change one scene without regenerating the whole campaign.

Use AI as a director

Ask for outcomes in plain language: make the opening faster, replace the third shot, use the brand’s primary colour, shorten the call to action. Review the result, then adjust exact values in the editor.

Export through the same composition

The browser preview and Railway Remotion worker consume the same scene specification. The final MP4 preserves the timing, transitions, colour treatment and uploaded audio you approved in the editor.
